Historical Background:

LINEX Materials was developed by Claudio Burtin in 1995 and within short time became No. One Truck Bed-lining in USA & Canada.

Dr. Ibrahim Elgindy, former Professor of Strength of Materials at IIT, Chicago, Illinois, USA was intrigued by the fast success of LINEX Materials which was attributed to its  outstanding properties and characteristics. In 1999 Dr Elgindy decided to utilize these newly developed Protective Coating in solving tough Industrial Coating Problems.

Dr. Elgindy Established LINEX Misr Co. with Work Shop & Warehouse in 6 October city,  Giza, Egypt  in Mid 1999. and A Head Office in Nasr City, Cairo. Egypt

It took Two Years of Testing and Qualifications at :

  • Egyptian National Research Institute Center.

  • Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute.

  • Taywood Engineering Laboratories , UK

  • Other Test Facilities

By 2001, LINEX MISR did rank the First among 7 international Coating Companies competing through Trial Tests for a large contract to coat 500 KM of Pipes in Libya for the Great Man Made River Project, but The US State Department did not allow the Sale .  (Taywood Engineering Labs of UK did supervise the Coating Trial Tests  of all Companies at Brega Pipe Plant, Libya and in UK )

By 2002 LINEX MISR was the First LINEX Authorized Distributor in the World

to be awarded coating contracts with for Crud Oil Pipelines & Tanks, First by EXXON Mobil, followed by General Petroleum Co.

In 2003, LINEX MISR was the First LINEX Authorized Distributor in the World

to be awarded contract with to Protect 15 Tanks of Sewage Treatment for the Egyptian Air force in Anshas with Washington Contrack.

In 2004, LINEX MISR was the First LINEX Authorized Distributor in the World

to Protect a Drinking Water Reservoirs, The Project was in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

In 2005, LINEX MISR is pioneering for the first time in the World,

a Trial for The Dredger Division of The Suez Canal Authority to Coat The Dredger Pipes with LINEX Coating, This Test if successful will prolong the life of Dredger Pipes for indefinite time as long as These Pipes are Coated with LINEX every two years, The Trial Test will be completed in Feb. 2006.

In 2005, LINEX MISR is conducting Two Trials to Qualify LINEX Materials to Protect The Internal Surfaces of Sewage Pipes for The Ministry of Housing & Urban Development.

LINEX MISR is therefore proud to be The First and Only Authorized LINEX Master Distributors in The World to develop and create a large Market Share for LINEX in The Middle East & The World.
